Hues of Pinks and Blues

With surprising temperatures in the low 50’s to low 70’s today, it makes me question two things…. 1. Is my beloved city of Houston going through menopause? 2. How does one transition from winter wardrobe to spring wardrobe engaging both the feel of dark hues so appropriate for the cold, while acknowledging the beaming arrays of color and blossoms that spring graces us with her presence?

One of my favorite combinations that complement both are hues of pinks and blues. In look one, I play with fall textures as seen in the dark teal faux leather skirt from Zara, accompanied by the light blue silk collared shirt embraced with a beautiful multi patterned pink jacket from H&M. The nude colored duo banded shoe is well represented by none other than Calvin Klein himself. In the second look I have fun with this faux leather school girl dress over a white sequin embellished collar top by Vince Camuto while sporting this fun navy blue and pink embellished tomboy blazer from forever 21. The studded heel platform shoe is also from Vince Camuto which happens to be one of my favorite designers among a few others.
